Arsen
Meaning: manly, virile
Origin: Georgian
Arsen is the Georgian and Armenian form of the Greek Arsenios, built on arsen (ἄρσην), 'male' or 'virile.' It spread through the Caucasus largely via Saint Arsenius the Great, a fourth-century Desert Father, and from there — helped along by Russian-language contact — became a common given name across Central Asia, including in Kazakh usage.
